We define philanthropy as the giving of resources in an engaged and strategic way for maximum impact and in a tax efficient manner. It can include the giving of money, assets, time, talent, voice and one’s social capital. We believe in the power of philanthropy as a great social connector and the source of many great opportunities.

Live crowdfunding gives life to London’s social change projects

Feb 5th 2018

The Young Funding Network (YFN) will host their next live crowdfunding event at LSE, returning after their incredible event in 2017 which raised more than £3,600 for social enterprises in just 30 minutes. YFN aim to smash targets for early stage social change projects.

The events give a platform for young projects pioneering new forms of social innovation and tackling the heart of issues affecting our generation. This time last year, YFN supported the 4Front Project and Chatterbox, whose founders both featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list - Temi Mwale in 2017 and Mursal Hedayat announced in 2018.

The next intake of social innovators on Tuesday 6th February at 6:30PM, featuring the Entrepreneurial Refugee Network (TERN), the Healthy Living Club, and Britain Has Class. The special guest speaker is Josh Babarinde: social entrepreneur, campaigner, former LSE student and Rising Star 2017.

The event takes place at the Senior Dining Room (5th Floor), Old Building, Houghton Street, WC2A 2AE

Tickets available now online, tickets priced at £10 which acts as your first donation at the event.
