The latest City Funding Network event raised nearly £16k for charities in less than half an hour.
The evening hosted at The Blind Pig, the basement speak-easy of The Anthropologist, saw three different charities given six minutes each to pitch to a room full of young City professionals for vital funds. Attendees were then given the opportunity to pledge money during a live crowd-funding session which led to a total of £15,868 being raised.
The three charities supported on the night were:
- Migration Museum Project, a project developing workshops for secondary school pupils to discuss and tackle the issue of migration
- FRANK Water, a charity working to provide access to safe water for rural communities in Madhya Pradesh, India
- Team Up, an organisation training University students to provide mentoring to disadvantaged pupils and in-turn offer better opportunities in life.
