Fundraising Director - Love Kingston

Apr 13th 2018

Kingston, Surrey
£22,500 – 3 days a week
This is a 12 month fixed post with the intention to extend for a further twelve months subject to funding and performance.

Love Kingston, a project of KVA, has developed a strong community presence with ties to local statutory partners, local businesses and schools. We are now looking to build on the high profile of Love Kingston locally to develop a High Net Worth and Corporate fundraising programme.

Love Kingston is a fledgling endowment fund for the borough of Kingston. This role is for a fundraising director who will have the exciting opportunity to contribute and lead the campaign for Love Kingston across the borough of Kingston, working closely with colleagues in Community Fundraising

Kingston is one of two London Boroughs that, to date, do not have an endowment fund to act as an umbrella fund for the charities in the borough. Love Kingston supports local communities to continue their vital services, connecting those willing to help to those in need by making grants and building an endowment fund.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional, with the leadership, marketing and fundraising skills, to develop, implement and lead this initiative. The ideal candidate will have experience in reaching out to high net worth individuals and corporate organisations.

To apply please complete the below application form addressing the job description and person specification and return to admin@kva.org.uk

Please include details of two referees.

Please also address the following question on a side of A4:

  • What are the key issues you expect to encounter in the early stages of developing this initiative? and
  • briefly outline some of the potential solutions

To discuss the role, please contact Fiona Canning at Kingston Voluntary Action on 07821 864 044

Closing date: Friday 11th May.

Due to limited resources, we regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
