Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy host their latest webinar on Philanthropy's role in disaster relief for the most vulnerable. The session will explore why - based on current trends and future predictions - foundations will need to improve upon how they respond to disasters to better meet the needs of vulnerable populations globally. Over the course of the webinar, evidence will be drawn from the latest research which shows the extent of disaster grantmaking, gaps in the type and nature of funding and how to better understand the 'disaster lifecycle'.
The panel will include:
- Robert G. Ottenhoff, President and CEO, Center for Disaster Philanthropy
- Steven Lawrence, Director of Research, Foundation Center
- Grace Sato, Research Associate, Foundation Center
- Regine A. Webster, Vice President, Center for Disaster Philantropy
