Guy’s and St Thomas’ are gearing up for the second year of our award winning Guy’s Urban Challenge; our unique fundraising ‘urban triathlon’. It’s taking place on Friday 30th September and Saturday 1st October to raise money for Guy’s, St Thomas’ and Evelina London Children’s Hospitals. We are hoping to make it bigger and better in 2016 and most importantly raise £200,000 to support the vital services our amazing hospitals provide.
This exciting event involves a 2.4km run, a 15km cycle on state of the art Wattbikes and finishes with a gruelling stair climb to the 29th floor of the world’s tallest hospital building – Guy’s Tower. Here, participants can enjoy spectacular views of London and a well-deserved celebratory party with unique finisher medals, giveaways and more.
Three ways you can help:
1. Take part – With only 500 places on offer register now to secure your place or email us to find out more about our corporate team packages.
2. Volunteer – if you’re not the sporty type, help us create an event to remember by donating your time on the day. We have lots we’ll need help with and a role to suit everyone.
3. Donate prizes – we need plenty of prizes to reward our fundraising challengers. If you have anything which you would be kind enough to donate, please let us know.
Last year’s event won silver in ‘Best Charity Event’ at the Running Awards in February –but if that’s not enough to convince you to sign up, check out our video from last year and hear it from our supporters.
